Q. What exactly is Glutathione?
Answer: Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant consisting of three amino acids, L-cysteine, glycine and L-glutamic acid.
Acting like a magnet for toxins and heavy metals, it purges these harmful substances from the body. Improving immune function, cellular health and mitochondrial function.
Q. Is Glutathione absorbed when taken orally?
Recent studies have shown that supplementing GSH orally is an effective way to increase intracellular GSH levels in the body.
Q. What does Glutathione help with?
Answer: Virtually everything.
Glutathione is a key detoxifier and immune booster. Translating into the health and wellbeing of every cell in the body, affecting every bodily system. The range of ailments and conditions that are improved by increasing Glutathione levels is seemingly endless.
Q. If it is made naturally by the body, should I be supplementing it?
Glutathione is synthesized naturally by the body, but it is nearly impossible for our body to keep up with the demand for this Master Antioxidant. With so many factors depleting Glutathione stores it is crucial to fortify levels through supplementation.
Q. I am already healthy, do I need to supplement Glutathione?
Our modern world bombards us with GSH depleting toxins constantly. Through the air we breathe, water we drink and foods we eat, our Glutathione levels are always under siege.
Age is also a factor in GSH stores. They begin to drop after the age of 20, meaning virtually every adult has less than ideal GSH levels.
Q. I am very ill, should I supplement Glutathione?
If you are ill, fighting a disease or infection, your Glutathione levels are low. They are being used up in order to fight off the infection or illness. Enhancing GSH levels will help give your body the advantage in the fight against infection and disease.
Q. Are there any side effects to supplementation with Glutathione?
Answer: The current science is still unclear on the safety for pregnant and breastfeeding women. We always suggest consulting with your physician or a medical professional before making any changes to your diet or supplement program.
Expect to detox.
By dramatically raising your GSH levels, your body will be better equipped to purge toxins that have accumulated over a lifetime. This can translate into a lethargic feeling, headaches, a feeling of nausea, or a number of other symptoms. Often occurring a few days after supplementation begins and lasting anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks afterwards.
